He was transferred from Huazhong University of Science and Technology to Hainan University in 2020. A part-time professor with Huazhong University of Science and Technology, a candidate of the “National Talents Program”, a candidate of the “New Century Excellent Talents Support Program” of the Ministry of Education, a high-level outstanding talent of Hainan Province, a New Century high-level talent of Hubei Province, an innovation and entrepreneurship talent in the Hubei Province Scientific and Technological Innovation Source Project. An academic member of the 8th Science and Technology Committee of the Ministry of Education, deputy director of the 10th Education Committee of the Chinese Society of Biomedical Engineering, secretary general of Hubei Province Medical Device Industry Technological Innovation Strategic Alliance, the council director of the Intelligent/Mobile Medicine branch of China Association for Medical Devices Industry, and vice chairman of the Hubei Society of Health Statistics and Information. A member of the 13th NPC of Hubei Province, a member and a member of the standing committee of the 8th NPC of Ezhou City. He has ever served as executive vice president of Wuhan Industrial Institute for Optoelectronics, the dean of Ezhou Industrial Research Institute of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, with practical working experience in the areas of commercialization of research findings, innovation and entrepreneurship. His main research orientations include biomedical optical detection, medical devices, crop phenotype measurement and medical information. He has published over 120 academic papers in academic journals at home and abroad such as Nature Communications, Proceedings of the IEEE, Plant Methods, Medical Physics, Applied Physics Letters and Physics in Medicine and Biology, won over 20 patents and ten copyrights for software, compiled and published a monograph as a chief editor. As a chief scientist for the National Key Research and Development Program in the 13th 5-Year Plan, he has taken charge of three programs funded by National Natural Science Foundation, two funded by National 863 Program and one key program funded by Hubei Natural Science Foundation. He has successively won the first prize of Hubei Province for progress in science and technology, first prize for natural science, second prize for technological inventions, and third prize for progress in science and technology from the General Logistics Department of the PLA.

【Enrollment Majors】Biomedical engineering

3-5 master and doctoral candidates will be recruited each year in related majors such as biomedical engineering, optical engineering, electronic information, computer, physics, mathematics, electronic science and technology, biology and medicine, while post-doctoral researchers are recruited all year round. Those candidates with a background in medical device, medical imaging and information studies will be preferred.

Every master candidate is welcomed to contact us by email. Master candidates will mainly participate in the electronic and optical hardware development in medical devices, phenotype optical detection and control (machine vision, infrared, spectrum, structural light), image processing and visualization (deep learning, 3D modeling and simulation)
