现任上海市自身免疫性疾病临床医学中心主任,上海风湿病学研究所所长,中澳个体化免疫研究中心共同执行主任。973首席科学家、国家自然基金杰出青年基金获得者、国家“万人计划” 百千万工程领军人才,上海市领军人才。在国际上多本重要的学术期刊上担任编委和副主编,包括Arthritis andRheumatology副主编、Arthritis Research & Therapy副主编、Annals of RheumaticDiseases编委,DUBOIS红斑狼疮权威教科书副主编。长期从事自身免疫病的发病机理,分子诊断及靶向治疗研究,在Cell , Nature Genetics、Nature Medicine、Immunity、JEM, Nature Communications 等杂志上发表论文100余篇,2015年以来连续入选ELSEVIER中国高被引学者榜单,研究成果曾获得国家科学技术进步奖二等奖、中国高等学校科技进步奖一等奖等省部级以上奖项6项,获得发明专利10项。

【研究方向】沈南教授长期从事以系统统性红斑狼疮为代表的自身免疫病的发病机理、分子诊断及靶向性治疗研究。近年来通过功能基因组学、细胞及分子免疫学等多种策略在SLE关键性致病通路的研究中取得显著进展:1)率先发现I型干扰素通路异常激活是狼疮病人的主要分子表型,在此基础建立了用于评价狼疮临床亚群分类及疗效评价的新的生物标记物分析系统;2)系统性阐述Ⅰ型干扰素通路过度活化对狼疮免疫病理损伤的细胞及分子机制;3)揭示红斑狼疮Ⅰ型干扰素通路异常激活的遗传机制;4)阐明了miRNA在狼疮关键致病通路中的重要调节作用。
